I moved to West Covina, CA this past Feb of 2022. Immediately, I knew this was exactly where I needed to be for a multitude of reasons. Initially, I moved in order to focus on growing my two businesses, Shantivanha LLC and Anh It Fitness LLC, without wasting time commuting. Some days, the commute was almost an hour and some change going one way and I saw it as time I could have spent on my people or being productive.
I quickly realized this move was also divinely guided.
Everything that I do is led by the right hand of God in which I hold my own right hand to. In my last dying breath, I would rejoice His name for he has saved my life countless times. He has blessed me with more than I need. He granted me my freedom through prosperity, which is what I prayed for in the Crystal Cathedral chapel the day of my uncle's funeral, and I promised to give back tenfold what I currently had.
My uncle was burned while still alive in 2021 making it one of the most tragic deaths my family has had to witness to this day. That day, I felt his spirit passing to the other side. I knew in that moment life was too short. I knew I was meant for more and that this human experience, although temporary, was much more than just existing and going through the motions.
And so I prayed… because prayer changes everything.
It hasn’t been perfect in this city. My car’s window was broken into and my belongings were stolen. My mail was also stolen. I swear I live next to the biggest creep… who eventually left me alone after I got pretty fucking buff. However, I am lucky this was all that happened to me as there are individuals who weren’t as lucky and left this earth too soon.
On Tuesday June 14, 2022, two El Monte Officers were shot and killed while reporting to a stabbing at a motel. They were identified by city and county coroner’s officials Wednesday as Cpl. Michael Domingo Paredes and Officer Joseph Anthony Santana.
Both men “were raised in the city of El Monte [which is only about 5 miles from my city and 10 minutes away without heavy traffic] and had a strong connection to the community they served.”
They both lived in Upland, CA. Although I did not know these two men personally, I had met and gotten to know relatives of theirs. I also heard stories about the heroic men from my clients and peers. It was a tragic event that hit close to home… close to my new home.
Although I am only 28 years young, I know that my purpose on this Earth is to serve and to do so using my God given abilities. I created these pieces in honor of Cpl. Paredes and Officer Santana.
40% of the proceeds for these "BLUELINE" pieces will be split and directly donated to the two families affected by the tragic shooting. This is a permanent piece on the website and will forever be available for as long as the Shantivanha legacy continues.
